Hello,
EMC2's University Relations team is delighted to host the EMC2 = Explore My Career Choices, event to your graduating seniors, or students completing their Master's degree.
We are pleased to offer this event on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at EMC2's corporate headquarters in Hopkinton, Mass. In year's past, EMC2's annual recruiting event was known as the Smart Choices, Bright Future event. This year's EMC2 = Explore My Career Choices, event is designed with a new format to maximize the students time here at EMC2. This event will give students the opportunity to network in a comfortable environment and meet with many more managers than at past events. EMC will be providing transportation; you will receive more information at a later date.
To prepare for this event, we are asking the schools to hand select 15-20 seniors or graduating master's students that had a minimum GPA of a 3.0. The students will enjoy networking with many EMC2 hiring managers and recruiters over some appetizers and refreshments and participate in a tour of one of the many EMC labs.
The event will feature hiring managers from over seven different organizations within EMC2. In addition, students will be able to network with alumni from your school who are now employed with EMC2. Also in attendance will be people representing different aspects of our employee services such as Benefits, Diversity Affinity Circles, and more.
Attached is a flyer that you can distribute to your invited students. We are expecting students from the following majors; computer science, computer engineering and electrical and computer engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and graduating in December 2007, or spring of 2008.
Please email me your list of potential attendees by February 15, 2008 and include the student's name, major and contact information and/or resume.
Also, please inform your students that they should dress for an interview, bring multiple copies of their resume and that cellular phones and photographic equipment are not permitted on EMC2 property. Although this is a networking event, many managers will view this as a first round interview, thus students should prepare as though this is a formal interview.
Thank you and please contact me with any questions. We hope that you will participate in what we anticipate to be a successful and rewarding experience for your students!
Regards,
Marie Gunning
