Hi Lindsey,
Thanks!
I've attached job descriptions for 3 open positions for which we are recruiting new and recent graduates. Additionally, through our career website, accessible from www.nokia.com and then search for positions in Berlin- we have additional positions posted at varying levels of experience. In the coming days we will have more positions posted externally, as well.
Your students should know that the management team here is focused on building the 'next big thing' in mobile mapping, search and navigation. At the same time, the entire company is looking to what we're doing here to transform Nokia from the world's largest mobile device manufacturer to an Internet company. Additionally, Berlin is a wonderful, dynamic place to be.
Any interested students should contact me directly at jonathan.silverman at nokia.com before applying on-line.
If you'd like any additional information or if the information I provided doesn't fit into your standard format, please let me know and I'm happy to make the changes you'd suggest.
Thanks,
Jonathan Silverman

Jonathan,
I'd be happy to pass along the positions for you. Through the CS Connections program, we have email lists that students have signed up for (internships and jobs). It would be best for you to send the descriptions to me and I can post them. The more information that you can give the better for the students.
Let me know if there is anything else that I can help with.
Thanks,
Lindsey

Hi Lindsey,
I am a friend of Stan Sclaroff's who suggested I contact you regarding our search for a group of technical positions here for Nokia gate5 in Berlin. We are primarily interested in software engineers, product managers and user interface designers and would consider new and recent graduates for the first two roles especially. Would you be able to let graduating students and recent graduates know about our positions? Have a look at them on-line- we have many posted at www.nokia.com in our career section- search Berlin (http://nokia.taleo.net/careersection/10120/jobsearch.ftl?lang=en from the US site). I can also send you the job descriptions for our priorities for graduating students and recent graduates. Just let me know your preference and how you would share the positions.
Thanks,
Jonathan Silverman

Hi John! Congrats on your move to Nokia and Berlin (what fun!).
I'll spread the word about jobs at Nokia. It's a little late in the academic cycle, though, for this year.
We have a corporate relations coordinator in our department, Lindsey Clarkson <lclarkso at cs.bu.edu> who can post job positions. She coordinates our Industrial Affiliates Program, which Nokia might consider joining: http://www.cs.bu.edu/IAP/
With best regards,
Stan Sclaroff

As many of you know, I joined Nokia in Berlin last week as an HR Manager. We're doing *a lot* of hiring and wanted to let you know in case you know of any technical folks interested in exciting opportunities in Berlin.
Currently we have about 15 jobs posted externally but we have many, many opportunities. We're most interested in software engineers, product managers, user interface designers. The positions are posted at www.nokia.com through which you can search our career site- search for positions in Berlin. In the coming days we'll have more complete job descriptions up there and additional opportunities posted. All opportunities are in Berlin- a really dynamic city.
After almost a week here it is a very exciting place to be. The management team here is focused on building the 'next big thing' in mobile mapping, search and navigation. At the same time, the entire company is looking to what we're doing here to transform them from the world's largest mobile device manufacturer to an Internet company.
If you have anyone who is interested please put them in touch with me directly.
