Flash Developer

 

Description:

Are you an expert Flash developer looking for something exciting to work
on? Do you want to work on software that will be used by millions of
people? Do you want to work in an industry that is on the cusp of a
technology revolution? If you answered yes, then Pearson wants you. 
We are dramatically expanding our teams (or name all of the specific
sites) and are looking for people who want to lead the development of
applications that will change the face of K-12 education in the United
States. You will become a key member of our Digital Product Development
team, building scalable, high-performance educational software products
used by millions of students and teachers all over the country.

Experience - External:

Qualifications:

' 3 years experience with Flash with expert-level skills in ActionScript
2.0 and/or 3.0, including functions, arrays, sending/loading XML, global
variables, movie clips and other built-in objects.' Portfolio of
high-end creative expertise of interactive web applications and/or
websites.
' Experience with both OO and procedural development styles.
' Strong teamwork skills.
' Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral, at all
levels to various technical and non-technical audiences.
' Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Pluses:
' BS in Computer Science (or equivalent field) ' Knowledge of software
design patterns and ActionScript Best Practices.
' Experience developing SCORM compliant content and LMS experience a
major plus.
' Experience with Agile development methodologies including SCRUM
' Experience developing for Accessibility (508c) ' Programming
experience with other languages such as Java, PHP, JavaScript, SQL.
