of applications that will significantly impact K-12 education in the
United States. We are also expanding in Glenview, IL; Boston, MA; Salt

Job Summary:
The qualified candidate is expected to work on small to medium sized
teams specializing in J2EE development. The candidate should be
knowledgeable and experienced in implementing Servlet, JSP, XML/XSL
technologies with a strong understanding of J2EE 1.4 and Java EE 5. Web
applications use AJAX methods to deliver an efficient and engaging user
experience.
Compensation will match level of experience and qualifications.
Qualifications:
* B.S. in Computer Science/Information Technology; or B.S.E. in
Computer Engineering; or equivalent combination of education and
experience
* 3 to 10 years of experience developing J2EE applications in a
structured environment
* Strong teamwork skills
* Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral, to
different levels of technical and non-technical audiences
* Ability to mentor less-experienced developers
* Experience with configuration management systems and concepts
(CVS, SVN, ClearCase, SourceSafe, etc.)
* Thorough knowledge of software design patterns and UML
* Effective communication and collaboration skills
Requirements:
* Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time
basis
Pluses (any combination):
* Experience with hosted J2EE development
* Experience with Hibernate and Spring
* Experience working with Oracle 9i and higher
* Experience developing scalable, high-availability applications
* Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum
* Experience with testing frameworks
