Subject: BU Grad Looking for Summer Intern
Professor Bestavros,
I was given the recommendation to contact you by Nathan Campbell, a BU
'07 grad like myself and currently working at eScription.
It was a number of months between the time I graduated and the time I
landed my current job at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT and
during that time, I worked a catering
job and I was considering looking for a job at a bar or restaurant. I
was completely dissatisfied with my search experience and I decided to
create a new job board concept to make it easier for students and other
young computer users get connected with a job in a restaurant, bar,
nightclub, catering company, or cafe.
I am looking to create a working Beta version of a job board website by
mid-August, with a team consisting of myself, a marketing intern, a web
designer, and a web developer.
I think you could help student get hooked up with this exciting new
startup opportunity, with the pay $900, half after one week of work so
that we can be sure we get along, and the other half on delivery. It
would be ideal for a student spending the summer in Boston who already
has another job and would like to make some cash on the side.
Specifically, I am looking for someone who is a web programming
enthusiast who has taken a database class and is obsessed with user
security and confidentiality.
Please let me know what else I can do to make this thing happen! I am
very excited about the concept and I have a strong desire to get this
thing running. I appreciate your time and I hope you can help me and one
of your students.
Sincerely,
Jon Shulman
